I'm a fine-art & stock photographer. I concentrate on floral, nature, still-life, black & white, close-up, animals, landscape, food, (sub)urban/rural landscape and people & 'pet' portraiture.

At this time, I don't have a studio; I only work on-location. Although, I have studio lights & backdrops (and a whole bunch of cool props & gadgets) that I take on-location with me. I prefer to work with natural light; nonetheless, many of my images, especially my portraiture work, is created using studio lighting. I like short lenses and being 'personal' with my subjects – working close range with my subjects provides for a more indepth view of character traits that I like to show in my images. However, I have a favorite long (zoom) lens that I won’t leave home without. I think tripods are a hassle to work with, but I use them anyway. I wish I could find a camera bag that would hold everything that I need….but not feel like it (weight wise). Provided that it’s warm out, and I don’t have anything else to do, I can [very patiently] sit in one spot for [several long] hours waiting for the perfect shot. When working with flowers, I 'don’t know when to stop shooting' – flowers are currently my favorite subject. My next favorite subjects are farm animals, farms, barns & outbuildings, roads and shooting in autumn. For portraiture, I love shooting (with a camera) dogs, horses, babies, maternity & newborn, engagement and high school senior portraits.
